Position: Virtual Arkansas Instructor of Abnormal Psychology/Human Behavior and Disorders.

SUMMARY: High School Instructor of Health Science courses, specifically Abnormal Psychology and Human Behavior and Disorders. The courses will be delivered to multiple schools across Arkansas utilizing a blended method of delivery with an emphasis on personalizing learning for students.  This delivery launches from an asynchronous (online) platform and utilizes face-to-face strategies. Instructor will be involved in content design and/or development. Instructor will be responsible for full implementation of blended instructional strategies.


  • Providing Instruction and Monitoring of Student Progress
  • Maintain the Virtual Classroom Environment
  • Implement Effective Communication Strategies with Students and Local Digital Learning Facilitators
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders (e.g. students, parents, colleagues, etc.) for the purpose of establishing and maintaining leadership and positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning
  • Integrate IEP and 504 modifications and accommodations into lessons
  • Planning and Preparation of Digital Lessons
  • Implement intervention and enrichment strategies as needed
  • Attend and Participate in Department Level PLC’s
  • Maintain Professional Responsibilities
  • Creating and Enhancing Online Content
  • Completing other Duties as Assigned Consistent with Online, Digital Teaching


Applicants must possess a valid Arkansas teaching license which lists either code 611 or 625.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s or higher degree in the career area to be taught, a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the career or technical area to be taught, and must hold a professional medical license.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency credential, a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the career or technical area to be taught, and must hold a professional medical license.

This position will be hired through the Dawson Education Cooperative and will remain open until filled. Applicants may reside in any location within the state of Arkansas that has robust internet connectivity.

This is a 190 day contract position
